Our 3 Step Bedtime Routine With Two Kids

IMG_3207

Life with two kids is a whole different ball game than life with one; we’ve missed our old bed and bath routine. It took a few months but we’ve finally settled into a new routine with the two kids. We use JOHNSON’S® 3 Step BEDTIME Routine. We usually start it after dinner and play time. It’s super simple and has saved our sanity and allowed us to be able to spend more time together as a family. This routine is the first and only clinically proven routine to help babies and toddlers sleep better.

Step 1: Get the boys in the bath- our oldest loves to get the bathtub all set up for him and his brother. Occasionally just the baby gets a bath in the kitchen sink and big brother loves helping with this. Either way, we love bubbles and big brother is always sure to squeeze just the right amount of JOHNSON’S® baby BEDTIME® bubble bath and wash into the warm water. Step 2: After the bath we give the baby a calming massage with JOHNSON’S® baby BEDTIME® lotion. There are many proven benefits of baby massage, including helping them feel safe, secure and ready for sleep. Not to mention the lotion smells so delicious and calming.

Step 3: Quiet time- For the baby this means it’s time for his last feeding of the day. While I feed him my husband gets our toddler in bed and they usually spend a little bit of time talking or reading a book together.

If you need a little extra help getting your children in quiet mode be sure to check out JOHNSON’S® Baby Sleep App, it allows you to create a playlist of ambient sounds, track your baby’s sleep and more.

How has your bath and bedtime routine changed when going from 1 to 2 children? Comment with any tips you have to share!

It is so hard to maintain bedtime routine every day. I already try a couple of time. After reading your post, I think I have to try again. Thanks for your informative post.
