Holiday Gift Guide – For the Kids

Holiday Gift Guide For the Kids

1. KeeKee’s Big Adventure Books – These books are awesome for the little world travelers in your family!  We love visiting and learning about new countries, so my boys will definitely be getting one of these.  How fun would it be to surprise your kids with a trip and the matching book for the holidays?!

2. Heidi the Raccoon Paper Craft – Talk about gorgeous!  These fun paper craft animals serve as a family project and home decor.  We got the Raccoon one and will be adding it to my youngest son’s bedroom after the holidays.

3. Deluxe Twist & Fold Activity Gym & Play Mat Babies don’t need much, but this fun Infantino activity gym and play mat is the perfect all in one gift. It encourages babies to learn new skills such as visual tracking, tummy time, reaching and grabbing.  The mat also folds up for easy storage and to bring on the go with you.  It’s something every little one needs!

4. Car Seat Poncho – I love these unique car seat ponchos, they are safety tested and compliant which is important to me as a consumer and a gift giver.  I got my oldest son the dinosaur poncho.  It’ll be perfect for those car rides where you just want a little extra coziness.  They have a lot of options to choose from and these make perfect baby shower gifts too!

5. Talk Box (German) – Another great gift for the traveling family or child in your life.  Ever wanted to learn a new language, but it seems impossible due to time or financial constraints?   Talk Box is the answer!  It’s a box mailed to your home paired with online education to get the whole family engaged in learning a new language.  We got the German box and hope to brush up on ours and teach the kids.

6. Whole Wide World Toys -These beautifully made play sets are a unique gift idea to expand your child’s horizon and foster their sense of culture and travel.  We got the Ireland set as we hope to visit there soon.  They also make a travel map where you can document your travels with your children.

7. Happy Pop Sox – Does anyone else’s children love socks as much as mine do?  Naturally these Happy Pop Sox make a great gift in my family and I really love the various options you can choose from.  My oldest loves sharks, so he will be getting the box of shark socks.

8. Workman Publishing Books – You can’t go wrong with books in our household.  My kids love any type of books, fiction or nonfiction and Workman Publishing offers an almost endless amount of both.  Have you seen the Advent calendar ideas where you wrap 24 books and that’s what your kids open each day until Christmas?  These would be perfect for that!

9. Storytime Chess – So, my oldest son LOVES playing chess with my husband and learned how to play at a pretty early age.  This Storytime Chess is a kid-friendly way to teach the game to youngsters.  This is what my 4 year old will be getting this Christmas and I know he will be excited about it!

10. Build a Bear  – Who doesn’t love Build a Bear?!  Not only can you gift the stuffed animals, but you can gift the whole experience with a gift card to the store.  My kids love going into the store and picking out their own animals and then going through the process of building them.  I recently looked at the Build A Bear website and was surprised to see just how many options they have, including their new holiday collection.

11. Maya Games – We love board games in our house and these fun options from Maya Games look like the perfect addition for under the tree.  The more active the game, the more my kids love it!

12. Personalized Tumblers– I love these personalized tumblers to give as a gift this holiday season. I got each of my boys one and can’t wait to give it to them. Since they are personalized there shouldn’t be any fighting over which one belongs to who!

13. Tech Subscription Box-Creation Crate is a tech subscription box that helps you learn electronics and coding by delivering hands on projects to your door. They make getting started really easy by sending you all the needed instructions, components, and courses from their curriculum. Each project becomes more challenging as you learn new lessons. Throughout their curriculum you will gain skills and experience needed to become a master maker with a future in tech.

In my family we also love gifting experiences, so here is a quick list with some ideas to help get your family out together!

  1.  Tickets to Local Shows – Some of my favorite gifts to give are tickets to local shows.  For example we’ve taken the kids to Monster Jam and Disney on Ice and Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.  In addition to those shows they host ice hockey games (NJ Devils) , Jurassic World, Harlem Globetrotters and concerts of all genres.  Celine Dion will be there in March (okay maybe she is more for the adults- love her!), Billie Eilish, Marc Anthony, and Elton John to name a few.
  2. Medieval Times–  I’m so excited to surprise my kids and their friends with this one!  We’ve never been before, but i’ve heard it’s a lot of fun for adults and kids.
  3. Indoor Water Parks – Santa always brings our family an overnight stay to one of our local waterparks. We look forward to it every year!  Luckily we have several close by including Great Wolf Lodge, Kalahari, Kartrite and Aquatopia.

I hope you found these gift ideas helpful!  Be sure to let me know what you get and leave any suggestions in the comments below. Happy shopping!
