Summertime + Swimming

This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Summer is almost here and we really could not be more excited about it. Our summers mostly consist of long days spent at the pool and beach. We love that we have absolutely no schedule and can just enjoy those laid back summer days.

I grew up with a pool in my backyard from the day I was born and those are some of my best childhood memories. Those long days of just hanging out swimming with friends all summer long were the best. We would spend all day outside between the trampoline, the backyard and the pool. I hope to give my children those same memories.

To get ready for those pool and beach days the boys have been taking swim lessons all winter. We’ve seen such an improvement already compared to last year and it looks like our 4 year old could be floatie free this summer. Last year was definitely a challenge for me when at the pool with the boys because they were 3 and 1 so neither of them could swim and I felt like I was constantly on alert keeping them safe. This year should be a bit easier thanks to those swim lessons and their older ages.

The SwimWays Baby Spring Float is the must have baby float and one that we have been using since last summer. It’s built to help introduce little ones to the water by keeping them floating and balanced. With its wide circumference and soft mesh seat it’s very stable and comfortable. It is great for ages 9-24 months and is the first step in a 3 step system to have them swimming. It also has a 2 position sun canopy with UPF 50+ which is absolutely necessary for little ones in the water. It even has a larger mesh space in the front for allowing baby to play with some water toys if they aren’t content to just float all day. My favorite part about the float is that it is folds up into a small circle and comes with a convenient travel bag. The less bulky stuff I have to carry back and forth to the pool, the better!

So, fun fact- did you know National Learn to Swim Day is the third Saturday of May, this year it will be on the 20th. It is a day dedicated to educating parents and children about water safety and the benefits of learning to swim. This is usually the weekend that pools open up here in the Northeast and it’s a good reminder to pay extra attention to water safety. If it’s warm enough that day we will definitely be hitting up the pool!

Where can you find this amazing swim float you ask? As if you need one more reason to visit Target, that is where we got ours. For more info you can visit the SwimWays website
