Although it’s already December there is still time to take your own holiday photos and send out a Christmas card. Each year I swing back and forth between having our cards printed and ready to go by November or running around at the last minute on December 15th to take photos and make a card to send out. With two little kids, taking photos is not an easy task. There are a few things that can make it easier though and i’ll share them with you today.

Posed photos are great when they work out but that’s almost never going to happen with little kids unless you’re a photoshop pro and can do a head swap. Some of my favorite photos of my boys are ones of them playing and are non posed. I think they make the best holiday cards and the kids always look happier when they aren’t forced into standing still for a photo.

There are a few products that can make your life easier during photo time. Since i’m clearly a big fan of unposed photos that means my kids are more likely to look a bit messy in photos, but thats where these products can save the shot! Here they are:

JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES detangling spray You’ll need this if your little one has longer hair. It can be used on wet or dry hair and goes to work on detangling those knots instantly.

NEW JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE™ baby cleansing clothes These are one of my favorites! These thick wipes are basically a bath without the water. They are hypoallergenic and gentle, they clean up the mess without leaving a residue or drying out babies’ skin.

JOHNSON’S BEDTIME® Moisture Wash This one you’ll need because not only is it a wash but it releases NATURALCALM® essence which is a blend of gentle and calming aromas. Clearly if you have time for a bath before photos this is the one to take 😉

All of these products are NO MORE TEARS® formula which means they are gentle and pure as water if they come in contact with eyes.

And lastly, i’m not above bribing my children to get some good photos if need be. Whether it be a cookie or in desperate times a you tube movie, if it has to be done, then do it! What are some of your holiday photo tips? Did you get your cards out already?
