We woke up to our first snowfall of the season this morning, it wasn’t much but it sure was exciting! The kids saw it out our window when they crawled into our bed this morning and were begging us to take them outside. I wasn’t feeling extra festive this year but this cold weather and snow that came in sure have me feeling it a bit more!

Yesterday and most of the past week was in the 60’s and sunny. We spent our free time running around the park with friends, but according to the forecast this cold weather is here to stay. With that comes dry skin. Today I’m going to highlight four of our favorite products for healing and preventing dry skin that happens with this winter weather.

1. JOHNSON’S® baby soothing vapor bath
Bathtime is one of the kids’ favorite activities. They both love the water and I swear they would play in the tub all day if we let them. The only problem with that is that the bath can really dry out their skin. We add the soother vapor bath into the water because it’s gentle and mild enough for their skin (dermatologist and allergy tested!). The other issue with this cold weather is the almost non stop runny noses they get, so this formula that is enriched with rosemary, eucalyptus and menthol is perfect for helping to soothe and unstuffy their noses.

2.JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE™ extra moisturizing baby cream
This is one of our favorites! Both the kids and I love using this product. It’s even gentle enough for a newborn, though there won’t be any more of them in this house 😉 It is free of paragons, phthalates and dyes, not tested on animals and its mildness is clinically proven. It designed with extra moisturizers to nourish dry and sensitive skin for up to 24 hours.

3. JOHNSON’S® hand and face wipes
These wipes are perfect for cleaning up dirty faces and hands in between baths. We use approximately 1,000 of them a day (kidding, but my boys sure are messy! They actually come in packs of 25 and are alcohol free, and a great mild and gentle formula. They are designed with baby in mind and are part of Johnson’s tear free formula family.

4. DESITIN® multi-purpose ointment
This is our go to ointment when skin becomes really dry or chapped. It is enriched with vitamins A & D and when applied to skin it immediately soothes and relieves dry and chapped skin. It’s also handy for soothing cuts and burns and even diaper rashes! Our 1 year old just got over hand, foot and mouth disease (just as nightmarish as it sounds!) and I credit this ointment to help healing his blisters quicker.
